Kung Fu Tea is another famous bubble tea chain that has stores everywhere in Boston. The chain originated in Queens, New York. It is founded by four good friends, Sean, Michael, Ray, and Allen. There are a total of 8 stores in Massachusetts. I have been to 3 of them.
The Kung Fu Tea store that I am going to talk about is the one around the campus of Northeastern University. When you come out of the exit of Symphony station, you could still the store.
The reason that I wanted to go to Kung Fu Tea at this specific location is not because I heard how good their milk tea is. Quite surprisingly, I wanted to go there because I heard my friend said the service there sucks. As I enjoy being humiliated (actually no), I went to see how bad the service could be.

Like Gong Cha, they also have Top 10. Their boba perals look very delicious.

I got there around 2 in the afternoon. When I walked inside the store, I was amazed by what I saw. The size of the store is as big as restaurants. It is not exaggerating to say its size is 5 times of Kung Fu Tea of other locations.
It is unfortunate that my picture could not do its size justice. You would easily find a seat at the store as there are plenty of seats.

Posters are all over the wall. This red one tells you that there are plenty of rewards as you could get free drinks by downloading their app.

This yellow one shows how big, plump, and shiny their boba pearls are. Those are the signs you look for if you want good bobas. Kung Fu Tea even allows you to choose the size of your boba pearls. You could choose between regular and small size.

More posters to come...

It took me about 5 minutes waiting on the line. The server asked me what I would like with a poker face. Her look gave me the feeling that she was so done with all the customers. I told her I would like a large iced Orange Green Tea (as I needed to take a break from milk tea). She gave me a quick look and started using her cash register without saying anything. The last words she said to me was: Receipt?
Well. I think the service was not that bad as I expected the service to be worse. She could really have some muscle exercises to learn how to smile.
This is how my orange green tea looks like. The boba pearls look quite the same as what the poster shows. I was amazed that the drink actually is made of real orange juice. I could still feel the pulp. I was even more amazed at how good their boba pearls are. In fact, they could be the best pearls I have had in a while. Their bobas are delicious and more importantly sweet. A lot of people have forgotten that bobas also need to have flavors. I recommend everyone to go to Kung Fu Tea to order a drink with boba pearls to see how good they are.

My friend, who does not like iced drinks, ordered a hot taro milk tea with boba. The medium size of a hot drink generally is a tad smaller than the medium size of a cold drink. I wonder why.

I took a sip of her hot taro milk. The taro flavor turns out to be quite authentic. It does not have too much of the artificial flavor. Also, the drink is smooth with rich flavor of milk. What is lacking is the tea flavor. I tried three times and still found no trace of tea flavor. I suppose the tea is overpowered by the other two flavors.
On to the boba pearls. They lose some chewiness when they are in hot drinks. But they are still tasty and have the most amazing sweetness.
I would definitely come to this Kung Fu Tea store more to see if I would finally get humiliated by their servers. And of course I would keep adding their bobas in my drink.

One last picture to show their big boba pearls.
