Hi Guys,
Welcome to my blog. My name is Ginger. But I go by Boston Bubble girl here. If you click into my blog already, you probably are one of those people who love going to bubble tea houses and wonder where can you find them in Boston.
Well... You've come to the right place. :)
This blog is dedicated to the bubble tea houses in the greater Boston area. I would give my honest review about the place with lots of pictures. The things that I am going to review would not limit to beverages but also things such as prices, the interior design of the place, and the services. To be honest, I am going to include 2-3 additional places that are not bubble tea houses in the traditional sense. But I felt the need to share them because they sell amazing bubble tea and desserts. So if you see my reviews on places that are not bubble tea houses, you know why : P.
"What's bubble tea?"
That's a question that I often got asked by westerners. There were no such thing in their lexicon. They could not understand how can bubble (are they even edible?) and tea mix together. Let me expand the name a little bit. The full name of bubble tea is bubble milk tea/boba milk tea. And the bubble/boba here refers to tapioca balls. If you still think the name bubble tea sounds weird, changing it to milk tea with tapioca balls might wipe out the weirdness. For me, the name bubble tea could not sound cuter.
Before coming to the States, I never paid attention to bubble tea houses in China. First of all, there aren't that many bubble tea places in the place where I am from. Second, there aren't people standing in line waiting for a bubble tea. Third, different bubble tea houses do not locate close to one another. So you could imagine how surprised I was when I saw people standing in line waiting to get their milk tea at tea houses in Chinatown. I thought to myself, "Is it worth the wait?".
Driven by the question, I decided to revisit those tea houses and post my genuine thoughts on them. I invite you to join my milk tea adventure.
